Production description

Cinder Grey Limestone Crazy Paving combines refined grey tones with irregular stone shapes. Its sandblasted and tumbled finish adds texture to free-flowing patios, courtyards and garden paths. The random layout works well around curves and landscape features, while subtle mineral markings and natural shade variation give each installation its own character.

Limestone brings a softer visual character to a landscape, with mineral markings and tonal differences that are part of the stone itself. Blend pieces from several packs during installation so these variations are distributed across the finished area rather than concentrated in one section.

The irregular format gives you flexibility to follow curves and shape a less formal layout. Dry-lay a representative area before fixing to balance larger and smaller pieces, distribute colours and decide on joint spacing. The arrangement of the stones and choice of grout both influence the final appearance.

Natural stone benefits from an installation and maintenance system selected for the material and intended location. Confirm substrate preparation, drainage, jointing and sealing requirements with your installer. Use a cleaner suitable for the stone, clean spills promptly and avoid unapproved acidic or abrasive products. Request a sample to assess colour and texture before ordering; samples indicate the general appearance and cannot represent every piece in a complete delivery.

1. Arrange the pieces
Blend packs and dry-lay an area first. Mix large and small pieces to avoid clusters, and choose a consistent joint width suited to the design.

2. Prepare the base
Provide a stable, clean base with drainage falls for exterior work. The installer should allow for variations in stone thickness and finished levels.

3. Fully bed the stone
Use a compatible natural-stone fixing system with support across the whole underside. Adjust each piece to the finished plane; do not rely on isolated adhesive blobs.

4. Fill the joints
Use grout suitable for the chosen joint widths. Trial the grout colour and any pre-sealing on a small area, then remove residue as you work.

5. Cure and protect
Let the adhesive and grout cure before use. Test a compatible stone sealer before applying, following its label. Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner; avoid acid washes.
